José Ángel Hevia Velasco, conocido con el nombre artístico de Hevia (Villaviciosa, Asturias,1967) es un gaitero y académico de honor de la Academia de la Lengua Asturiana. Es también famoso por inventar junto a Alberto Arias y Miguel Dopico la «gaita electrónica multitímbrica» MIDI y sobre todo por sus álbumes, en los que fusiona la gaita con todo tipo de sonidos. De noviembre de 2018 a febrero de 2019 fue presidente de la SGAE.
Se cumplen 25 años de la edición del mítico “Tierra de Nadie”, con el que Hevia cosechó numerosos discos de oro y platino por todo el mundo.
El gaitero asturiano que revolucionó la música celta con la gaita electrónica interpreta, en un contundente y vibrante directo, los temas que le han hecho popular, y que ya forman parte del repertorio folk internacional. A las flautas y gaitas, tanto electrónica como acústica, se suman las percusiones tradicionales de su hermana María José y el bajo eléctrico, la batería y los teclados de su banda habitual.
